It was Saturday June 12th and it was sometime after 7:A.M. When I caught the news flash, I had been surfing channels, for BATMAN The Animated Series was a repeat, and when I saw the report I just sat there not knowing what to feel. | I mean it was as if a suffocating fog had hit. Deforest Kelly was dead and I did not know how to reveal what was inside of me. For death had surrounded me, the week before was the aniversary of my mothers passing. Now this. Oh De Kelly's death was completely different more like a flower dying, that in time would be reborn. Yet my childhood had come to an end and I would never be able to go back again. But I decided I would try and keep alive some of the special qualities of Deforest Kelly. For he was more than an actor who played a part for nearly 33 years. He was a man who gave freely his time to visit the ill and dying in hospitals across this land, some times all he could do was stand there and after words he shed many a tear. He became part of the Make a Wish foundation and gave beyond what was expected always living past preset expectations. Maybe Gene Roddenberry had known from the beginning the Inside this actor beat the heart of a crusty country Doctor. Well De you have finally gone where you have never been before, may you find peace there. Mark Richards June 14th 1999 IN MEMORY of Deforest Kelly better known as Dr. Leonard "Bones" McCoy from the Original STAR TREK

| Denver has been my home except for a little over a year when I lived in Las Vegas. Denver has changed tremendously over my 39 years. There was a time when Cinderella City and The Aurora Mall were the big shopping centers and when the Broncos were thought to be a High school team because they could never win a Super Bowl. Well now we have the Denver Pavilions in Downtown which is a huge shopping and entertainment complex with a 12 screen movie theature , 18 restaurants, and Virgin Records to name a few. And the Broncos have won 2 superbowls. Will I stay in Denver? Hard to say, will depend what happens after college, but I know this city will always be here for me no matter what the fuure holds since it is my home. All photos excep the one of me with headset on were taken by me. First photo I used the remote control on my camera to take the photo. That photo and the one of me with the headset on were taken back in 1997. > All other phtots were taken between 1997 and 1999.
